MURANGA FARMS

Murang’a County is one of the five counties in the Central region of the Republic of Kenya. It is bordered to the North by Nyeri, to the South by Kiambu, to the West by Nyandarua and to the East by Kirinyaga, Embu and Machakos counties. It lies between latitudes 0o 34’ South and 107’ South and Longitudes 36o East and 37o 27’ East. The county occupies a total area of 2,558.8 km2.

This climate provides a fertile environment for the cultivation of fresh fruits and vegetables.

KINANGOP FARMS

Kinangop is located in Nyandarua County in the former Central Province of Kenya. Nyandarua County covers an area of 3,304 km2. The county is located in the northwestern part of the old Central Province and contains the Aberdare Ranges.

Common crops farmed include potatoes, tomatoes, garden peas, beans, carrots, cabbages, coffee, macadamia, and carrots.

MACHAKOS FARMS

Machakos County was the first capital city of Kenya and is now an administrative county in Kenya. Machakos is made up of eight (8) constituencies including Machakos Town, Mavoko, Masinga,
Yatta, Kangundo, Kathiani, Matungulu, and Mwala. Machakos Town is the administrative capital of the County.
Machakos County borders Nairobi and Kiambu counties to the West, Embu to the North, Kitui to the East, Makueni to the South, Kajiado to the South West, and Murang’a and Kirinyaga to the North West.
Machakos County stretches from latitudes 0º 45’ South to 1º 31’ South and longitudes 36° 45’ East to 37° 45’ East. The county has an altitude of 1000 – 1600 meters above sea level.

The local climate is semi-arid with hilly terrain covering most parts of the county. The beautiful hilly location is perfect for the cultivation of fruits like mangos, oranges, watermelons and passion fruits.
